Outline: claim of fact Introduction Professors are always interested to see their students attend all their classes for them to be able to teach them directly. Students, on the other hand, need to be given the opportunity to choose which classes they need to go to and the ones that they are not interested in attending. Professors argue that there is the need for a regular attendance for a student to perform well in the course since they contend that participation and execution are decidedly associated. Considering the difficulties that arise in regulating a school-wide attendance policy, there is no need for a mandatory attendance policy. Professors can be given the mandate to set the classes which students can miss and those that they cannot or even considered that the students who want high grades will learn that they have to attend courses regularly (Osman, 2012).

However, implementing attendance policy and making it part of the final grade does not at all make students pay attention to attendance. Colleges ought to consider making it necessary for students to attend courses by the knowledge that only their professor can provide for them to pass the texts.
