Educational Leadership, 59(6), 18-24. The action research by Calhoun on school improvement was a qualitative research. The sample size that was used to collect data was 21 high schools. The number of participants who participated in the research was 3 high schools and staff members of the respective schools. The 3 high schools were selected because they had students who performed much higher in reading and writing. The article analyzed and described a research action based on elementary and secondary teachers in a seminar. The purpose of the seminar was to examine and advance teachers who possessed change perceptions when educating science where they were put into action. The study was a qualitative research. The research points out details of action research where teachers are using it in teaching, listing how the study was executed and the methodology used.

observed for two successive semesters The action research was then summarized where key aspects were deliberated upon. 161 and 104 male and female elementary teachers participated respectively. The participants were classified according to their experiences between 1-5 and 2 onwards years. The methodology that was used to collect data was questionnaires. There were 4 and 22 questions (1 question was open-ended while the other 21 were multiple choice) which were based on the attitude and perceptions of teachers towards action educational research. One of the major findings was that teachers believed that not only should academicians carry out educational research, but also they should be researchers as well. Triangulation was applied when collecting data from a number of selected subgroup of teachers. The English instructors were provided with the questionnaires while a subgroup of teachers was interviewed (using semi-structured interviews) to explain more on the responses from the questionnaires.

The findings showed that majority of the teachers did not engage much in research but instead, the evaluated instances which they saw they were compatible with the paradigm in scientific research. The chosen article based on the effective area of my study: Primary School Teachers' Attitudes towards Educational Research. Educational Sciences: Theory & Practice This is a study that was done to evaluate the attitudes of primary school teachers when it comes to Educational research. Considering the absence of research in this arena to learn also targets to make improvements to the literature. The outcomes evidently show that teachers trust that the core objective of the educational research is understanding and developing educational practices steadily. Though the teachers indicate that they lack time which makes them not to carry out educational research, they have a habit of undertaking research, identifying themselves as researchers if basic conditions are provided.
