Communication Sector in Critical Infrastructure

The communication sector of the critical infrastructure is one of the 16 sectors as classified by homeland security. Undeniably, the communications sector plays a significant role in the USA enabling the sustainability of the citizens. It meaningfully influences the economy and forms the foundation of most businesses operated in the country. It also allows the safety of public organizations and the government. Notably, the sector is also a core sector since it creates an "enabling function" of all the 16 sectors. The private sector is currently working with the federal government which enables it to anticipate any problems that are to arise in the sector and comes up with immediate solutions. Also, the communication sector works closely with CS&C to offer adequate support to the Critical Infrastructure Cyber Involuntary Program.
