Their observations regarding the true position of planet earth in the universe helped in changing the world through meticulous explanations and formulating new theories that explicitly described the actual position of planet earth in the heavens. Moreover, through Copernicus’ revolution along with Galileo’s visualization, facilitated in understanding the concept of astronomy by differentiating the various planets from stars in the sky (Koestler, 2017). Essentially, many years before the merited observations made by the two scientists, the controversy surrounding the astronomical world had failed to distinguish the apparent difference between the relationships of heavenly objects. However, the observations of Copernicus and Galileo altered the way people understood with respect to universe in pictures. Who were the Philosophes? Ideally, philosophes were the early intellectuals amid the eighteenth century enlightenment, who pragmatically brought light to many fields of study such as Philosophy, science, history and so forth.
