For instance, moral panics are always drawn from certain well known believed notions or stereotypes among these marginalized individuals themselves and hence encouraging moral panicking. The folk devil is discussed by sociologists as the behavior of a person that is a threat or breaches the safety and interests of some individuals in a society and the folk devils become widespread and threaten many individuals are then graduated to moral panics. Public and media discourse often give first-hand evidence of moral panic by use of the first-order description and the reflexive comments and criticism which are the immediate reactions of the currently affecting moral panic examples as well as the long-term reflections of the pasts moral panics. Therefore several notable examples of moral panics are fueled by politicians and perpetuated by news media thus brings a clear description of divide and differences within a society especially the target groups.

In the past centuries, witchcraft accusations were directly blamed first to women who are outcasts to the society and after some of the girls were afflicted with unexplained fits, the accusations spread to those women in the community who looked like they are not supportive of the guilt. Media has played a major to provide education on the side effects both immediate and long-term effects of using prohibited drugs like cocaine. The media are sensitizing the target group that's youths on wrong drug use and abuse as well as expose the source of this moral panic. In addition, politicians are there to pass strict laws and regulations alongside heavy fines and sentences to the drug dealers and since they have a strong persuasive power in the community politicians use it to discourage on drug abuse and illicit brews within local setups.

Working together with politicians, religious leaders, and the media would help to lower the rate at which drugs are abuse and thus increase social control of such moral panic. An atmosphere of distrust within a social setting has influenced the rise of welfare cheats and single mothers hence becoming a moral panic within a society. For example, global warming might cause prolonged droughts hence lack food or causes prolonged rains and thus leading to flooding. The effects would bring a menace to the community as it is detrimental to its safety and interests of people. In such incidence, media sensitize the public to observe ways of conserving and protecting the environment while the politicians help their people endure by providing reliefs and at the same time passing laws and policies to minimize and control pollution of all kinds.
