The first research study which I used to improve the fluency and writing skills of students was done by Fink (2007). In this study, the research question which he seeks to answer is, can Rap technology and teaching the art of argument help to improve student's fluency and writing skills? The research design which Fink used was qualitative methods which were necessary for the successful turn out. It was important to use this research design as it excellently integrated all components of the study and was able to address the research question, of whether having peer Observation feedbacks and argument prompts improved self-confidence about writing arguments. Most of the students have been struggling with reading comprehension skills as well as writing skills.

However, employing the use of rap protocol during studies was a milestone in ensuring that the student's fluency and writing skills were enhanced. These exams were used to test whether the student's overall performance has been boosted by the Rap Protocol. Data collected on the performance of students was then analyzed on the basis of the student's state, i. e. , for both able and disabled students. However, despite the success which was realized, they are some setbacks with the protocol. Also, there was an overall improvement in the learning environment whereby students were exposed to an environment which can improve their learning outcomes. After the students were taken through self-reflective programs, they were able to compare their current performance with previous ones, which would in return inspire them to perform better.

The results obtained were positive. However, although reflective learning did not lead to a significant jump in academic achievements, it improved the learning experience and also provided a subtle learning environment. Mary DeMichele also conducted a study in 2015, "increasing individual writing fluency with collaborative Improve. It was concluded that collaborative improve activities like storytelling and story writing games improved student's word usage and sentence usage. Another descriptive study which I used was by Hasani (2016). The research question in this study was whether contextual learning and teaching would enhance argumentative writing skills? Hasani employed mixed methods of research, using both qualitative and quantitative research designs. This research was conducted at an Indonesian university. The total number of participants in this study were 147.
