Diverse Family System

Nonetheless, in the contemporary society family institution has witnessed dramatic significant transformation contrary to the previous family system. For instance, the previous two decades has witnessed tremendous divorce rates, single parenthood as well as both parents becoming bread-winners to their children. This occurrence can be attributed to various factors, most notably, globalization, civilization and technological advancement which as a consequence has brought individuals from diverse cultures, race, social class, religion and color together (Abalo, Mena, & Santisteban, 2014). This paper will examine the impacts of feminism, gender roles and social class on the family system which encompasses divorced husband and wife who are both bread-winners to their children, as well as the impact of the market on this family system. This paper will also explore the impact of the state on this family system.

Stratification of social classes also played a pivotal role in the in regards to the diverse family system where both the husband and wife are. For instance, family systems from the upper middle class and the high class citizens in America have been substantiated to be having a family system where both parents are divorced and at the same time being bread-winners to their children. This is so because majority of the family systems from the high class and the upper middle class encompasses both husband and wife who are in the financially empowered, thus, having unlimited freedom to terminate marriage (Gasman & Conrad, 2015). Moreover, the government has also impacted the occurrence of divorce rates among married couples, in the sense that, the government for the previous years has stipulated laws and policies facilitating divorce by making it easy for the married couples to access judicial services.
