However, these organizations vary in their missions and the basic operations. In this paper, I will compare two Environment organizations, The Greenpeace International and The Nature Conservancy on how they work. The Green Peace International The Greenpeace International is one of the salient nonprofit environmental organizations that work to protect the environment. The mission of The Greenpeace International is “Greenpeace is a global, independent campaigning organization that uses peaceful protest and creative communication to expose global environmental problems and promote solutions that are essential to a green and peaceful future. The organization has set a protest against trumps white house negative attitude towards global warming.

The organization supports the developing countries to strengthen their democratic institutions. The Nature Conservancy The nature conservancy is a charitable organization that works hand in hand with well-wishers to steer the agenda of environmental conservation. The organization has its headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, United States. The organization was founded in the year 1951 in Virginia and has grown into a huge organization that now impacts more than 72 countries in the world. Two of the efforts include “the plant a billion trees campaign” and sustainable hydropower initiative. The organization has launched a campaign to plant a billion trees in a bid of restoring 10,100 km2 of land at Brazilian Atlantic forest by the year 2025. This campaign will ensure that the forest has broad coverage of trees.

The initiative to bring sustainable hydropower is meant to combat the ever risings increase in the demand for energy. The initiative is intended to liaise with the various energy departments with a bid on increasing the amount of energy produced via the water while maintaining the conservation of water. There is a big contrast when it comes to the funding mechanism of the two organizations. The nature conservancy is more flexible in sourcing of their funds. Most of their funding comes from the governments in the form of grants and corporations. Still, they encourage contributions from other individual volunteers. This case is unlike The Greenpeace International, the organization undertakes to screen of all their donations to be confident that their funding is not from unwanted sources.
