Currently, only fifty-eight nations practice death penalty and the United States of America is one of these nations. The debate on capital punishment has been a current issue for many years now. Advocators of capital punishment argue that it deters murders. However, this is not always true. Capital punishment is a government-enacted practice in which a nation puts a person to death as a punishment for crime. This is so sad because it is legitimizing violence in the society and degrades the value of human life.
