Ethical Issues Concerning Artificial Intelligence

AI has the prospect to benefit humankind; however, there are problems and costs that could arise from this. Thinking about the problems that could arise brings about moral questions surrounding the use of AI. This paper highlights some of the ethical issues as well as how engineers would ensure proper use of AI. Robots are getting increasingly better at modeling human relationships and conversation. Eugene Goostman, a robot, won the Turing challenge by fooling many people to think they had been chatting with human and not a machine. Loss of control would mean that AI would have the upper hand over and human and take advantage over us and human beings will cease to be the most intelligent being. These ethical concerns need to be taken into account during the production of AI.
