Ethics in terrorism

This poses the question of whether it is justifiable to take life on the part of counter terrorism with the aim of saving a large number of people. Hence, how different is counter terrorism from terrorism if they both entail infringement of the right to life? To answer this question, the ideologies of virtual ethics and care of ethics should be considered. Virtue ethics means that human beings should behave with the aim of fostering good relationship with others and development of a virtuous character. According to virtue ethics, one is either a good or a bad person. Therefore, virtue ethics relates to terrorism as terrorists are often referred to as bad people due to their acts of terror. Hence approaches if violent counterterrorism is to be accepted as ethical, then adjustments should be made towards regulating the use of force against terrorism in national and international laws.
