The researchers have to be knowledgeable about the design and the matter they are addressing so they can deliver quality work. This essay is a qualitative evaluation of an article titled “who wants to die here? Perspectives of prisoners with chronic conditions”. The article can be termed as a quality research material because they have applied a valid study method. This was a descriptive study, which seeks to examine how prisoners perceive their experiences in prison. The main aim of the study is to explore more about the feelings of prisoners concerning lifetime incarceration (Loeb et al, 2014). Prisoners from different security levels were included. Identification of participants who may be users of the end-of-life services was determined by their participation in taking care of chronically ill inmates, those who had a history of progressive terminal illness, and those who with lengthy incarcerations exceeding life expectancy.

They also eliminated a language barrier by including inmates who could speak English (Loeb et al, 2014). The participants were all above 18 years of age. Additionally, the sample was of high quality because it was highly inclusive. A guide was used to help in discussions. Prison staff was not allowed into the interview sections. This method was very reliable and dependable for the study because participants would answer freely. The area of data collection was carefully selected to enhance privacy. However, the data collected from the participants could not be recorded due to the rules of the prison. The method of analyses was very appropriate for this study because it would help come up with diverse perspective to making conclusions. However, it is not clear how data was processed to arrive at results.
