The dependant variable depends on the independent variable to give an explanation on something under study. The dependent variable is also called the response variable. Question 2 Explain the two types of errors There are two types of errors. Type I error and Type II error. Type I error is when the researcher rejects the true null hypothesis and accepts the false alternative hypothesis. Example of categorical variable is the colour of the dress (blue or pink). Quantitative variables are variables which can be counted they are represented in for of numbers. Example of quantitative variable is the number of cars in a traffic jam. Therefore, quantitative variable falls under categorical variable. Question 5 What are the errors obtained during data collection and explain each? The errors include sampling error, statistical error and inferential error.
