This framework contends that instead of viewing an individual as a separate entity or a single emotional unit of treatment, and individual functioning should be perceived on the basis of their distinctive relationship with their families (Regas, Doonan, Caffaro, & Bakaly, 2011). This paper will comprehensively examine the importance of family system analysis in the arena of mental health, as well as explore why it is essential for mental health workers to identify the various populations in the mental health arena. For instance, in a scenario where an individual comes from a financially struggling population, then chances are high that they may suffer from depression or anxiety disorders. So to a great extent, by identifying and understanding the various populations in the mental health setting may assist the mental health practitioners in designing a strategic interventions aimed at boosting the recovery of patients.
