m. today on I-45 near Centralcity. According to a witness who could not be reached for comment, the truck suddenly veered onto the shoulder and then turned over three times. The witness, whose name the paper could not establish, was driving behind the truck. Several containers of toxic chemicals on the truck are said to have ruptured when the truck overturned. The accident site itself was cleaned by the Centrality Volunteer Fire Department within an hour. Sheriff Cheryl Law cautions anyone who was within the area of the spill who experiences nausea, headaches, chest tightness or trouble breathing to seek medical attention. According to Central County Hospital spokesman Roberto Salud, Benton and Haven were treated for minor injuries and released. John Smart, a spokesman for the Chemical Industry of America, when reached for comment, has said that the chemicals spilled are not generally harmful unless someone is exposed to a high concentration of them for long periods of time.
