Fingerprint Based Biometric Security Devices
Document Type:Coursework

Document 1
An example of how the technology has been used in recent applications includes use of fingerprints as passwords for mobile phones. This technology can also be adopted in SMEs as ways of protecting their data from intrusion by strangers. According to Bayometric (2018), the use of biometric security devices is better than use of passwords. This is because passwords can be copied or hacked but the biometric security is specific to individual characteristics which cannot be faked. It is not possible for two people to have the same fingerprints or iris prints. The computer for each specific user will be accompanied with fingerprint recognition machine or new computers with in-built recognition technology can be bought to replace the old ones. Anyone whose fingerprints haven’t been fed to the machines will not be able to access the machines.
