Hepatitis A virus can also be transmitted through food handlers who spread the infection to uninfected people who consume the food they prepare. These programs impacted in the limited incidences of infection among food handler at risk. On the other hand, the broad herd protection impacts the anti-HAV among adults between 30-49 years which was lowered thus leaving a large population of those adults at exposure (Klevens, 2015).
