It will also focus on the economy of Russia over the years and how they managed to be financially stable. I chose to focus on the history of Russia in this course because it is one of the nations with interesting past experiences dated from hundreds of years ago. In the research, I will use the following questions to guide my research: What is the difference between how Russia was being ruled in the past and how it is ruled currently? How did Russia maintain their economy in the past? What makes the history of Russia interesting more than the history of other nations? Russia stretches over a vast area and borders various countries some of them being; Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia, and North Korea.

"Russia's Economic Development. " Russian analytical digest 88. This article explains the economic history of Russia starting with when money was introduced in Russian trade. According to Sutela, in past Russia maintained its economic stability through trade since the nation was open to many trades. The author of this article explains the financial crises that Russia faced in the past. He described Russia as a nation that had a frequent state of financial problems. The nation had many expenses making them have deficits which demanded to borrow. A significant percentage of their budget was allocated to paying debts, and the greatest share was given to the military.

Russia funded many expensive wars using paper money causing inflation. Frieden, Nancy Mandelker.  Russian physicians in an era of reform and revolution, 1856-1905. Princeton University Press, 2014. This reading explains the famous 1905 Russian revolution as the author calls it. The author explains that the revolution started when Father George Gapon a leader of a movement that demanded change in Russia led a peaceful march on January 22nd same year. Russia does not have a perfect history but the many mistakes its leaders and citizens did make them who they are now. They were able to build a strong nation from their past mistakes. In the past, the western world and most parts of Asia lived as enemies and wars were not rare.
