His political philosophy dwelt on the nature of human beings and he believed that through the social contract theory is pivotal to mankind being submissive to the authority. On the other hand, Hobbes’s moral philosophy relied on the idea of psychological egoism in the act of ruling. This theory was widely criticized and many of the people did not seem to agree with it and that is why Thomas’s moral theory has not had the privilege to be discussed in depth as his political philosophy has. Hence, to understand the line of thinking of Hobbes, a thorough outline of the moral and political philosophies is required as is the case in this paper. A Discussion Hobbes’s Philosophies The political philosophy of Thomas is the one that has been widely discussed by people because of the popularity it gained due to his argument on the same.
