How generations differ in communication

This paper presents a discussion on how generation differs on communication. Communication has evolved from the earlier generations to the recent. It has transformed from simple one-on-one communication in the last one generation. Earlier, communication was characterised by the use of postal services. In the recent generation, communication has changed substantially, due to use of most recent technologies such as Facebook, instagram and WhatsApp messaging (Yamcharoen 2014) In the former generations, communication in offices was done through memos. These include WhatsApp, Twitter, Instagram and snapchats to mention a few. With the use of these communication platforms, it is easy to send and receive photos at any time (Chao 2011). A study by American Communication Department showed that there are much generation differences in communication in workplaces.
