In direct democracy, electorates are given opportunity make decision directly including turning bills to laws. In indirect democracy, electorates nominate representative to the government. In united states for instance, indirect democracy is practiced; leaders for federal, local levels and state are elected to represent the needs of American people in the government. There are two main parties in United States; republican and democrat party which participate in election. The importance of voting Essentially, voting is an essential right of every citizen who have attained the age of eighteen in United States. Voting ensure selection of leaders of choice therefore, every citizen should consider viewing voting as a responsibility and not a burden or waste of time. Failure to vote, can lead to election of unintended leaders and this is followed by complains and mass demonstrations.

It is true everyone has the right of expression but it is unworthy to complain over a mistakes we the electorates made by failing to vote. Voting is an important practice that determine the success of any nation. Nations whose citizens have failed to vote have been experiencing troubles in power transition and sometimes faced by civic wars. Apparently, voting ensures there are electoral reforms within a particular republic. For electoral reform to occur, voting is necessary. This can never be achieved if we fail to vote. For example, if only voters from main parties participate in election, the third parties will never benefit from electoral reforms. If we need change, we must stand firm to show that other parties have support and the need to represent them.
