Remoc and the four interventions used in the case study are linked by the fact that they employ more than one treatment approach for the disorder. Based on Dr. Remoc’s assumptions, combining treatment interventions by, for instance, pairing behavioral therapy with drug therapy treatment increases a child’ s chances of recovering from a disorder. In the case study, multiple treatment approaches are recommended to treat the client, Billy. Various studies have indicated that taking a stimulant drug increases attention capacity which ultimately results in controlled behaviors. Effects of stimulant drugs have been found to be paradoxical. Some children with ADHD may exhibit quieting effects while others may increase their attentional capacity which leads to modified behaviors. Apparently, medical therapy is not effective since it may address some areas which need behavioral adjustment and fail to address other significant areas.

This observation justifies the significance of the behavioral program in the successful management and treatment of children with ADHD. According to Dr. In a classroom setting, the teacher should encourage Billy to raise his hands to answer questions instead of blurting out responses disorderly. Additionally, the trainer should ensure he stay in line and completes classroom assignments like others. On the other hand, the positive reinforcement should include the use of dinosaur stickers. The stickers should be affixed to a piece of paper and each sticker reflecting Billy’s compliance with specific behavioral objectives. This plan will require the teacher to keep track of Billy’s compliance with given behavioral objectives by checking and awarding full compliance periodically. For instance, in the case study, Billy had developed a habit of interrupting his parents’ conversation.

His parents devised a way of addressing the behavior by having Billy write some notes whole his parents on the phone or had a conversation (Gorenstein & Comer, 2015). The task was accompanied by a reward after successful completion of the task. The social skills intervention was devised to develop the social competencies of Bully both at school and home. For instance, Billy had to interact with his sister at home, and therefore she had to prompt him frequently. The significance of CBT is that it helps in eliminating pessimistic thinking and instead encourage positive ones. The intervention boosts the self-esteem which is negative pretentious (Hamblin & Gross, 2012). Intensive Behavioral Treatment focuses primarily on enhancing self-control and socialization in children with ADHD. The approach integrates all the clinical behavior treatment and contingency management into a single platform.
