The Hawaiian island and West Coast of United States were not safe. The Japanese were exploiting the West Coast vulnerability (Murphey, 1995). Obvious possibilities included sabotage, aid to an invading army and espionage. There was proof of Japan purpose to utilize the circumstance. The office of Naval intelligence described a Japanese ‘intelligence machine ready for war, in action and using the west coast Japanese. The common way of law in a judicial system respect personal rights by availing each a due process. The policy treated the Japanese-Americans as a single group thus providing critics with the base of denunciation of American policy. Dwight Murphy also talks about the Asian-American stereotypes.
