The target group was everybody around the globe with an objective of reaching out as many people as possible. It was a worldwide campaign aimed at increasing awareness on breast cancer and seek a donation from the public across the globe to fight breast cancer. The mission of the campaign was to help save lives by proving substantial knowledge about the breast by using properly designed materials aimed at improving early detection of breast cancer (“Know Your Lemon, 2017”). It was hash tagged #Know Your Lemon. Their key message was that “It only takes a minute to know a bad seed. The use of visual approach made it possible to reach a broader audience that a simple hashtag or strapline could not have achieved.

However, they did not get the full number of targets considering that it was a worldwide targeted campaign implying that their Facebook likes should be hundreds of millions which is not the case. Their success story can be seen in the manner that they managed to collect 317% of their target by fundraising through their Facebook campaign. Analysis Digital Marketing Institute ranked the campaign as number 3 on its list of the best social media campaigns of 2017 (D. M. Breast cancer is a global concern and should be able to attract as many audiences as possible. Even though 317% was collected from the exercise, more ought to have been collected if they could access more audience. Future social media campaigns should be able to reach millions of people by using an appropriate strategy which includes the use of paid or sponsored posts.
