Learning styles Essay

The terminology to summarise the whole model is VARK (Israa et al, 2008). The four-lettered word is explained below as the letters are initials: VARK V stands for Visual images – this entails one preferring studying pictorial or graphic formatted material. A stands for aural information or the spoken words – this study method involves listening to lecturers and friends while doing discussion. R stands for reading while making notes – this learning style entails reading from learning material while making summary notes. K stands for anaesthetic or the active learning – this involves one studying while doing practice of what one is learning. With this method, I note down every point in the order in which I will be understanding them. While am traveling in a noisy vehicle or generally in a noisy environment, I like viewing diagrams and pictures as my study style.
