My father, a Surgeon was the sole breadwinner of our family. He was strict yet open-minded. He often took the disciplinarian role in the house. My dad liked to fish and play football in his free time. My mother was a stay at home mom. She helped my mom around the house by cleaning and cooking. I studied at ABC middle school. It was one of the best middle schools in ABC. It had several states of the art buildings, world-class library and the best laboratories. It also had a huge stadium and swimming pools. g. school Olympic Games and swimming galas, parents helping their kids with homework, some parents organized play dates between children. My parents liked to organize play dates with kids from my class.
My mother supervised our class scouting club. All this helped in identifying the subject strengths and weaknesses of a kid and provided a way to monitor a child learning progress. My parents used to volunteer my sister and me in church workshops as a way to ensure we mingled with other children from church. I grew up in an urban setting in the city of ABC. My father's work as a doctor put us on a middle-class level. We were comfortable enough to afford all our basic needs. During that time, Barrack Obama was campaigning to be president.
