This cadre of health care providers faces several obstacles in their line of duty and this has been escalated by an ever increasing cultural diversities emanating from the different minor groups originating from different parts of the world (Reifsnider et al, 2014). Cultural differences; every society has its own unique healthcare system besides different beliefs which define the disease state, illness and wellbeing in line with the cultural perceptions. A patient from Southeast Indonesian origin with Muslim culture follows the Qadr cultural theme, those who revere this theme compares the power of man and God, and belief that any undesirable treatment outcome is not Godly. This poses a challenge to community nurse trying to educate the patient on how to manage their health to live a better life as the patient fully pegs better living to God and he/she has no role to play.

Besides that, the said difference in health perception between the nurse and the patient also plays out when the in- charge nurse strive to meet the necessary standard treatment guidelines while the patient strives to stick to cultural norms (McKenzie, Pinger, & Kotecki, 2011). Beliefs about illness; most Indonesian being Muslims, believe illness is due to loss in harmony and balance among the jinn man and the angels. To the older generation mental illness emanate from the jinn, with this kind of background, patients who are mentally ill may resist the nursing services from a public/community nurse. Conclusion Following the continued influx of migrants in the USA with different cultural backgrounds, the nursing profession ought to keep themselves a brace for a more diversified population which may deter their effectiveness in service provisions to various minority groups.
