The pin is cut using a saw or an automated machining component to a specified length. During assembly, the pin is riveted to holes in the top and bottom halves of the stapler to hold them together. The pin is made from heat treatable which can withstand the friction from the frequent movements of the base and the top part of the stapler. Typically, office staplers are not used in work that requires a lot of strain. The pin in an office stapler is however designed to withstand intense use, should you ever decide to engage in demanding work. The shape of the handle can differ, a traditional handle made of metal roughly has a cuboid shape. The use of plastic or rubber in the handle of the stapler makes it light.
