There was a rapid development of fine art painting in Netherlands and painted everything with a focus on expertise in oil painting. Jan Van and Hubert Van were the painters and their development sprung from the early paintings of the Italian Renaissance. Oil paint was mostly used for its durability and flexibility. The meticulous and the tempera paintings were the forms of oil paintings used and they differed in texture hence nature observations. In 1401, the first artists of renaissance emerged in Florence. Masaccio did some painting works but did extraordinary in the fresco cycle which had a great influence on the painters who came later. These works later developed to the paintings of Fra Angelico. During the end of the early Renaissance, there is more similarity with the beginning where artists are drawn together to cooperate and work together rather than working like a race or a competition.
