Both Islam as well as Christianity have widely spread religions across the globe with a significant influence on their believer’s lives particularly spiritually (Idel & McGinn, 2016). The universal values, originality and certain beliefs have allowed many of their believers to attempt to understand and respect every other’s faith. In several countries in the world, Islam and Christianity have made the centers of the nations’ laws and are greatly acknowledged by the governments. Although Christianity is broadly spread in comparison to Islam, they inflict the same challenge to one another. As a result, this paper seeks to explore the historical relationship and timeline, geographical connection, differences and similarities between Islam and Christianity. They trust that Jesus is not God’s son but a messenger.

Islam and Christianity possess different scriptures, with the Quran used by Islam and Christians using Bible, though Muslims have faith that Gospel was likewise sent by the Almighty beforehand (Rizvi & Hossain, 2017). Both texts justify the works and life of Jesus. The section of Islamic theology, having faith in Jesus is important, and Christians view Gospel to be commanding Quran as an apocryphal or fabricated work whereas Muslims consider the Bible believers Injeel as altered. The Christianity and Islam assert that Jesus was born by Virgin Mary; however, the Islamic and Biblical accounts differ. The ‘furthest mosque’ also known as Al-Aqsa mosque is based in Jerusalem. Rizvi and Hossain (2017) stated that the first Muslims correspondingly prayed to Jerusalem, not Mecca. Additionally, it was the location in which Muhammad rose to heaven.

Islam and Christianity uphold that God directs prophets and angels to take messages to his persons and via inspired scriptures exposes his divine will. These religions also believe in the judgment time while God shall intervene in the humankind history and decide their eternal lives reliant on personal actions and beliefs. From Christians’ perspective Jesus is mentioned to be no sin and did not marry, in comparison, Mohammad sinned as well as requested for forgiveness from God. Mohammad as well married. Jesus did many miracles whereas Mohammad performed no assertion over being capable of governing nature (Miner, Dowson & Proctor, 2014). Jesus resurrected after his death, while after the death of Mohammad it was the completion. Idel and McGinn (2016) claim that Jesus educated Christians concerning kindness and love, on the other hand, Muhammad trained Muslims about sets of laws and surrender.
