Though my major starting idea will include the restaurant only, long-term goals include expansion to include outside catering services for events. The price list of the main dishes will be as follows: steak £9, meat £9, fish £8, chicken £8. My major reason for this business idea stems from my passion for cooking and the need to show the exotic South Asian delicacies. Also, the independence and self-esteem of owning a personal business are other reasons. Legal Form: The restaurant will be registered under the name Musahib-Made Foods as a sole proprietorship. For my restaurant, I believe that providing customers with a nice ambience to enjoy their food is important. Objectives: My major objective is to have lots of customers visiting the restaurant to enjoy the unique dishes.
As communicated by the business slogan, “made by me”, and the restaurant’s mission statement will be introducing the South Asian delicacies for residents of this city to enjoy. Using the SMART criteria, one specific goal of the business will be to expand into an outside catering business. A measurable goal can include the aim to earn sales revenue exceeding £10,000 by the end of the first year. The main economic factor in the restaurant business is the influence of the thriving fast food business. We expect to overcome these factors by alluding to the healthiness of home-prepared meals and avoiding political engagement at the business premises. Invariably, the effect of social factors is determined by the current trends that consumers are seemingly more inclined towards.
For instance, the use of organic foods, which is easily complimented by our traditional dishes. Technological factors include the current level of technology employed in the food industry and the ease of customers using such technologies. However, for this analysis, we will employ both observation and use of questionnaires to obtain raw data from the respondents. Observation allows for examination of customers around other restaurants and the habits that they show. This is relevant since it will give us a slight awareness about what to expect from customers once we open Musahib-Made Foods. The second approach under primary research methods will include the use of questionnaires that will require the chosen respondents to answer the questions typed out. This method is easy to use for purposes of analysis and many people are familiar with it, thus ease of use.
