According to the Child Care Aware of America, annually, the mean fee or charges of this service across the country is more than 10, 000 dollars and still the price is growing thereby giving parents more pressure. Child care is an economic necessity that must be fulfilled with at least 65 percent of children below the age of six years having their parents in the labor force (Annie, N. P). According to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Developed, the US has ranked the third country with the highest price of childcare among the major developed countries in the world. Strengths As a Human Environmental Science student, I believe that I have the capabilities to impact changes on any issues that I come across in the society.
Advocating for change A new approach to the unaffordable child care services among the Americans requires a rapid change. To provide amicable and effective solutions to the countless challenges facing numerous families in the United States while attempting to access high-quality child care, American parents are supposed to be empowered to access the service as well as financial support to meet the escalating costs. For instance, the programs proposed by the Centre for American Progress should be focused on facilitating the middle and low-income earners to afford quality child care. Majority of the United States parents require accessibility to quality childcare so as to preserve their employment as well as providing their families.
