Document 1

Participants The participants who took part in the study were 83 high school students (42 male, 41 female) whose mean age was 15. 77 years with a standard deviation of 0. The participant's high school typical grade indicated that 31. 3% of the total respondents had grade 9, those with grade 10 were 36. 1% of the total respondents, 30. The core aim was to reveal if the comfort level to communicate differ depending on the level of media type being used by the students (Brewer, 1975). The mediums of communication were categorized into face-to-face, video messaging, phone calls and texting. The respondents were to indicate the level of comfort when dealing with the following types of social media. Session 2: Level of social anxiety The study also covered social anxiety among the students who were respondents in the study.

It was clear that the respondents had varying levels of social anxiety ranging from low to high. 7410 and a standard deviation of 1. The analysis of variances between the social anxiety and motivation to use a certain type of social media was conducted to reveal the significance of the study. The analysis revealed that the value of p=0. 040 hence the conclusion that there is statistical significance since p<0. 05 hence we rejected the null hypothesis that there is no relationship between social anxiety and level of motivation hence accepting the alternative hypothesis. This made a lot of sense since from the analysis it was clear that different students attach different comfort levels to the platform. This is the real situation since different levels of comfort come with the type of media being used.
