The Bible and Wealth

Books in the bible are written by different authors some of whom are the prophets of God. The bible provides human beings with guidelines of how to behave towards others and also towards God. It provides Christians with ‘boundaries’ for their religious life and social life including their civic duties. Generally, the Bible defines for Christians and Jews what is right or wrong behavior before the eyes of God. Christianity being a culture itself, the bible provides written norms, rules, customs, beliefs and traditions for Christians and Jews. This way, the survival and continuity, not only of an individual but that of a society is ensured. Nonetheless, God urges his flock to keep their lives free of the obsessive love of money and wealth (Wosh, 2017).
