What becomes of Patroklos’ body? Patroklos’ body lies in the battlefield and different parties battle over it. Iris, the messenger of the gods, approaches Achilles to go and rescue the body. However, Achilles refuses based on two reasons. The first reason is due to lack of armor and the second is that he promised not to engage in battles until his mother returns. Iris persuades him, and he feels the urge and complies (Homer & George, 18). One city represented peace while the other represented war. The book presents a form of confusion as a feature of the cities and death and a house of love found in both of them (Homer & George, 18). A similar scene is shown with the Trojans moving out to fight the Achaeans in a place between their city and the shores as in the quote.
