The number of people above the age of 50 has been viewed to be working beyond their normal retirement age. Mostly, the number of young people are relocating from various states which are in the Midwest part of the United States. Thus, due to the increasing number of aged people (Mather, 2016). The rise of aging people may have various impacts on the society. Firstly, the elderly may experience an increase in the number of obese cases. This program has helped so much in reducing the number of scams involved with the elderly (Medicaid for the Elderly, Blind, or Disabled 2018). Tuberculosis Related services and Medicaid play a pivotal role in ensuring health support for the elderly. There is also the Wisconsin Forward Health Medical plans which generally helps the elderly, less privileged and the poor (Medicaid for the Elderly, Blind, or Disabled 2018).
Healthcare programs for the elderly are important in several ways. Firstly, health care in Wisconsin has been able to enhance the health of the majority of the aged. As stated by Goldberg (2015), daycare is also offered by the health care programs especially when family members can only be available during the night. In cases such as where an elder person breaks her hips or leg, the health care program takes the role of providing 24-hour assistance and nursing to the patient. Healthcare is responsible for engaging with hospitals in case there might be an urgent need for care. This might result due to facts such as an elderly patient does not have enough capital or even might not have family members willing to take care of them (Goldberg 2015).
