Britney and Sam have a long history of severe polysubstance abuse, including heroin addiction. Britney admits that she used heroin, drank alcohol and smoked marijuana and tobacco during her pregnancy. Consequently, James was born with birth defects including two stomachs, one of which is outside of his body. It is anticipated that James will require medical treatment for the remainder of his life. Britney faces many barriers within her current situation. Situational issues observed The role of the counsellor here is to create an understandability of Britney as well as creating a resourceful network that she can later refer to by herself. As his obligation, J enquired about Britney’s environment, character as well as the required solution with immediate effect.

Lack of moral support and parental care: Britney lacked closeness with her only parent and thus most of her poor morals and behaviors were generated from the company she kept hence gaining bad characters, being naughty and un obedient even to Sam. Excess amounts of un scheduled time: In her growing moments, Britney was not monitored nor assigned home chores which could keep her engaged and thus she grew un responsible and unreliable with basic home chores. This free time was misused to move out to night clubs with friends. Daily productive schedule: J asked Britney to give a list of her productive essays hobbies and she listed drawing, mat making and calligraphy. J advised Britney to be doing at least one of the hobbies daily until it brought employment to her thus being motivated in life.

Connect with job-oriented network: J moved with Britney from place to place creating her network. From the state offices to the ministry of culture, where J advised most of his supportive friends to offer vocational advice as well as facilitating Britney’s passion of mat making to help her grow herself. Access counselling and monitored medication frequently: J ensured cognitive restructuring by ensuring frequent visits and intervention to her so as to replace her irrational feelings and thoughts The plan was outlined to be executed by Britney in assistance with J to utilize her potential strength and opportunities in life ensured weekly contact with Britney for effective transition until she got comfort with her life, she got financial support to facilitate her vocational studies and later created employment for herself and others.
