They can determine barriers to entry, minimum efficient production level and influence outsourcing decisions. These companies operate through direct selling as well as through distributors. Companies with large local customer base prefer to sell directly, without involving distributors. There are a large number of furniture retailers and franchises engaged in furniture retailing in Kenya.
