Statistical data help in finding clarity in offense and enhances accuracy in dealing with an offense. The paper will give a clear overview of the relationship between statistical data and criminological theories. It will focus on how the data can be used to support the theories of criminology and enhance its functionality. It will also analyze its cons as well. Ideally, statistical data supports criminological theories positively, but they also have cons. For instance, if a criminal case has been found to be hard and difficult to make conclusions and decisions on it, the responsible person will have no choice rather than to use statistical data and deep research to find the actual truth regarding the case. Typically, statistical data in form of questionnaires, examinations, and analysis are used to bring conclusions.

Without the statistical data, the criminal case will just remain unsolved and left hanging until the truth is found. More facts and evidence concerning the relationship between statistical data and criminological theories have been literally brought forward by a number of proofs. Firstly, the way statistical data is used to determine the number of criminals in the community shows some reality. In this situation, an individual will have negative reviews and definitely, his or her life will be miserable. This evidentially reflects the dark side of the statistical data and its relationship with the criminological theories. Statistical data also support criminological theories by comparing variable data sets to determine trends and changes in criminology (Weisburd, Cave & Piquero, 2015). In other words, it compares the policies of the community and the government so as to determine their changes and their relationships.
