Statistical data help in finding clarity in offense and enhances accuracy in dealing with an offense. The paper will give a clear overview of the relationship between statistical data and criminological theories. It will focus on how the data can be used to support the theories of criminology and enhance its functionality. It will also analyze its cons as well. Ideally, statistical data supports criminological theories positively, but they also have cons. For instance, if a criminal case has been found to be hard and difficult to make conclusions and decisions on it, the responsible person will have no choice rather than to use statistical data and deep research to find the actual truth regarding the case.
