Kering CEO, Franco Henri saw the importance of a strategic vision. He then streamlined his business by acquiring luxury brands. Among the Luxury brands he acquired were Alexander McQueen, Bottega Veneta, Sergio Rossi, Stella McCartney, Gucci among others. These are the brands that the company markets its products under. In the creation of the business, he came up with a business model that enabled sharing of knowledge and resources. Among them was the slow expansion of some luxury brands. Also, there was the problem of affordability. Since luxury goods are expensive, many people would turn to counterfeit products.
