These costs could be in terms of compensations or treatments. Employee perception in regard to the management and commitment Through previous health and safety occurrences, there could be change of perception from the employees to their employers. This will be as a result of the actions the management takes to ensure the safety of their employees. In cases where there have been disputes employees will be at logger heads with the management meaning their levels of commitment could be low. ` Lost time due to absenteeism When the rates of absenteeism go high, this will be an indication that there must be major issues within an organization’s culture. Though they could be valid in terms of health and safety occurrences, it could mean that the organization must be going wrong somewhere hence need for inspections and audits to fix problems that could be within the organization.

The keeping of track of the number of inspections and audits that are performed in any given business either on an annual/quarterly/monthly basis should be accounted for. Those in charge must know when inspections and auditing processes were carried out and those that carried them out should be known as well. This is to give the business the ability to track any changes in standards within the organization and it will always include health and safety indicators. Employees should be encouraged to report these near misses without fear of being punished as they could turn to hurt them later on as actual incidents if the required precautions are not in place. Total Hours in Health and Safety trainings The amount of time aimed at employee training will go a long way in determining the effectiveness of an organization’s success.
