Management philosophy needs to be incorporated in the company's everyday transactions and dealings so as it becomes part of the organization culture. A company’s management philosophy defines what is to be done and how the team members will interact with each other and also with the clients. A business philosophy may be clearly stated in the mission and vision statements or it may be implied by the management for example adopting a “whatever it takes” philosophy by the management by say putting in extra hours, constantly asking the employees to do more than in terms of their outputs and performances helps the business bring out its management philosophy yet it may not be written in the vision and mission statements.

Management philosophy to a company is very crucial because it directly affects the morale of the employees, their productivity and performance and helps the business to develop only positive attributes for the company. A case in point is the Marina Bay Sands philosophy on the leadership of the workforce. The resort was designed by Moshe Safdie and it includes a hotel, convection exhibition centre, a mall, a museum, two large theatres restaurants and the world's largest atrium casino with 600 tables and 1,600 slot machines. Due to the large nature of the resort, the owners of the resort decided to open it in stages and it was officially opened in September 2011. Since the opening of the resort, the company has always sought to ensure the best management practices are maintained so as to have a cutting over the competitors.

The management philosophies of the company show how the owners are committed to improving the experience of their customers by providing the best of the best. The main management philosophies include inspiring, motivating and nurturing their employees so as to reach their maximum potentials, commitment to integrity and diligence, innovation, the endless pursuit of being the number one in terms of profitability, quality and service delivery not in the market but in the whole world, basing decision making on analytics and data. However, at Marina Bay Sands, humility is as important to its success as the others. To be part of this team and to trust in its philosophy, you have to be willing to step out of your comfort zone to learn all areas of the business, not just what you are most experienced in and comfortable with.

Webster defines philosophy as “the most basic beliefs, concepts, and attitudes of an individual or group”. This is another strength of the company because it gives the employees the incentive to do better and always aim to aim the highest when it comes to performance because they hope for a reward in the end. The employees in Marina Bay Sands are not afraid of taking risks and making mistakes because the management firmly believes that people cannot grow without risks and mistakes and therefore the employees are encouraged to take risks in their daily operations because at the end of it all they can receive proper guidance on the same. This has led to a higher level of career satisfaction among the employees because the employees constantly seek to challenge themselves to take risks and be better in everything that they do.

He is instrumental in the gaming and casino industry because together with William Eadington they were able to co-author articles that are used in the casino industry. The duo has helped the casino and the gaming industry at large to be able to view the casino as a business and not as a leisure activity and this has helped in the study of the casino industry and findings which are used in the daily operations of the casino and gaming business. The group is also charged with analysis, maintenance and improvement of the casino databases so as to present to the management the key trends and the most efficient action plans.
