Globalization has further made logistics to venture into different aspects aside from the simple and traditional delivery of goods. Hence, logistics and supply companies in the contemporary world are diverse in their services and locations. Hence, Riverwood Logistics provides the clients with ample space to have their goods stored prior to distribution to the relevant locations (Donald, David, & Bixby 2012). In this directive, the areas thus covered are inclusive of the warehouse management system so that the clients have the convenience of all matters handled on their behalf; the provision of the assembly, kitting and packaging services whereby the goods in the warehouses are assembled and packaged accordingly on behalf of the clients.

The management of inventory services is further provided to ensure that he clients’ goods are well cared for and meet the quantity and quality and finally offer customized logistics solutions. The fifth category involves the moving solutions. Essentially, the goods in the warehouses have to be moved to their respective destinations. Political Environment First is the political environment. Riverwood Logistics operates as an international logistics solutions provider. Therefore, the company’s management has to take into consideration the politics of the countries to which they choose to have their services rendered. The political policies of the countries in which Riverwood Logistics offers its logistics services have to be given priority and therefore, aligned with the objectives of the company in serving the international market.

b. Hence, when venturing into the international market, a company has to ensure that it understands the dynamics and needs of the various societies that it will be serving. In this regard, the marketing strategies of the company are essential to the social environment. Riverwood Logistics has made proper use of the various social platforms that are used in the contemporary world. The company has ensured that it is digitally visible by taking advantage of the convenience of the different social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn to reach out to the various clients within the international scope. Practically, Riverwood Logistics has laid a solid foundation that supports its social interaction with the different societies thus building a strong and positive rapport to its international clients.

Further, the company is equipped with state of the art technological equipment and materials that are significant to the logistics trade. e. Legal Environment All forms of trade and industries are guided by laws and regulations. This is to ensure that companies which seek to venture into various markets do so while ensuring that they adhere to the policies, rules, and regulations that facilitate for fair competition. The legal environment in international markets has different laws compared to national markets. Riverwood Logistics in its operations has yet to adapt fully to the use of green resources. This continues to pose a challenge in the adoption of the company to the international market fully. Further, the influence that the external forces have on the company’s strengths and weaknesses are of equal importance for the consideration of the sources of any challenges that limit the organization from reaching its full potential and achieving its objectives (Mesly 2017). The SWOT analysis gives a detailed evaluation that will suffice to help in the diagnosis of the organizational challenge that faces Riverwood Logistics. Primarily, Riverwood has a systematic flow of operations that are operated digitally to ensure the smooth flow of information and service delivery. Furthermore, aside from using information technology for purposes of records and providing the company with the necessary machinery to carry out its operations effectively, Riverwood Logistics also uses its high tech software for purposes of providing e-commerce services to the convenience of its customers.

Finally, Riverwood has ensured that its logistics services are not limited to the traditional services and areas of coverage. On the contrary, the company has ensured that its logistics solutions encompass a number of sectors and assures of several services thus facilitating the convenient movement of clients’ merchandise from one point to another. b) Weaknesses While the performance of Riverwood may be considered to be impressive in its market sphere, the company suffers a number of weaknesses that have contributed to the management and workers inability to perform as expected in the international markets. Ideally, the challenge is influenced by both internal and external factors (Poluha 2016). This is such that, based on the limitations faced by the company as a result of external factors such as the environment and poor use of the social environment.
