One of the reduction measures taken already is to reduce water usage in the renovated lounges and even in the offices across the network. There is also energy reduction strategy that is comprehensive that involves upgrade of lightening in all their facilities. There also do reduce to food wastage by offering donations to Oz Harvest; this is to complement their in-flight recycling efforts. According to Australian market, Virgin Airline main competitor is Qatar airline which provides air travelling services in the premium class and has a subsidiary jets tar that offers low cost services. Apart from Qatar airline there are also other competing operators who compete with Virgin airline these include: Singapore airline limited, United Continental Holdings ltd. Having Qatar airline as their major competitor is an advantage to them since it is posing and providing ways to a higher growth.
