Social media is a great way to involve employees and brand ambassadors from all levels in information distribution with the purpose of sharing news. The author explains how social media is a powerful tool for workplace communication, mainly an engaged audience. Social media is essential for team members from distances whether on separate sides of the office or the planet. Using social media in the workplace improves employees’ engagement and productivity. The authors explain that social media can enhance confidence among employees. Trust improves knowledge exchange in the workplace with a stronger influence on the transfer of implicit knowledge rather than explicit instruction.

Technology can also create fast and accessible communications channels within one's company. Communicating openly with your employees is a reliable way to motivate them and improve office morale. According to the article, planning communication-oriented meetings maybe once a week with no purpose other than opening lines of communication gives your employees the sense that you care about their opinions. This makes the employees to be able to deal with all on coming issues with a somber mind and seriously. Also communicating positive will help motivate employees. The article further insinuates that instead of threatening or scolding your employees for poor performance, offer rewards and opportunities for improvement.
