A series of experimentations of the therapies in laboratories by scientists and the trials on humans is clear indication of the effectiveness of the mode of cancer treatment. Its effectiveness has been backed by success stories from past cancer victims who have been completely healed by such procedures. However, as scientists continue to investigate other methods of viral treatment of cancer, there is only one method that has been approved both in the United States and Europe. Cancer is an atrocious disease that claims the lives of thousands and thousands every year and scientists have been working tirelessly to find a cure for it. Mostly, everyone is longing for a cure for this deadly disease. The removal of these genes which are crucial for metabolism leads to the high reliance of viruses in the expression of thymidine kinase – an aspect that is rare in normal body cells but substantial in proliferating cancer cells.

In other words, the process involves the works by using an actual virus in getting rid of cancer cells from affected people as a method of treatment. There have been questions about why and how the virus is able to treat cancer by getting rid of cancer cells without necessarily harming the patients. The concerns of how cancer can successfully be treated by the viral therapy method have also been addressed by the inventors of the therapeutic approach. Medical experts in the field recognize that a significant number of viruses can be able to replicate in cancer cells as compared to normal cells largely because mechanisms for protection against infections by viruses are impaired in cancer cells. The modification was through engineering process by a number of scientists who were interested in improving the efficacy of the cancer viral therapy.

After the modification of the virus, how to administer it to affected people was a topic of discussion among researchers. As a result, the intravenous administration was the most appropriate method to administer the virus to cancer victims and remains one of the most common methods used. It is aimed at accessing up to the disseminated cancer deposits in the body. There have been a number of success stories from the use of viral therapy to cure cancer from around the world that play a major role in supporting the adoption of the method and instilling confidence on the victims of cancer about the existence of an effective treatment that do not pose any substantial amount of danger or limitations to their overall health (Hellen).

S. hence, more work is needed on the part of scientists (Wong, Lemoine and Wang 101). There is still negative attitude towards viral therapy, just by virtue of it using viruses, by key players in healthcare and medical field that explains the unacceptability and application of the therapies across the world. To overcome this obstacle, appropriate education on the use of a virus to effectively treat cancer. More success stories need to be shared, and medical facilities need to be in support of adoption and implementations of resources aimed at using the method.
