Climate change Essay
There is the need to implement long-term changes that will have a positive impact on the society despite the climate changes experienced. Human activities have resulted in global warming which on the other hand has contributed to climate change and affected the way in which man is engaged in different activities. As a way of dealing with the problem, there is the need to understand the causes of climate change to have a defined way of implementing changes that will positively affect people's lives. There are different strategies that can help in doing away with the climate change problem, which will involve people in their different locations. A man should ensure that his activities do not contribute to pollution and global warming. Industrial pollution is among the major causes of climate change through different forms of pollution.
For example, some of the waste products from the industries include emissions and other wastes which are left on land without proper management. Most of the organizations focus on the different ways by which they can increase their profits and financial benefits. This is a major reason why they never get involved in taking care of the environment. Proposed solutions In the present day, climate change has affected a large number of operations on earth. On the other hand, others have aimed at acquiring more land that they can use for activities that may result in the destruction of the environment and nature. When people do not understand the ways of taking care of the environment, they will always do what they feel will benefit their lives. The blinded society has forgotten the importance of the environment and the role, which it plays in taking care of climate (Warren, 2011).
The global community is affected by the different activities and engagements which man makes with the aim of making their lives better. Some societies do not have an understanding of the impacts of their daily activities on climate change. After people realized the need to farm different crops, they started using the land for the wrong purposes and this is a reason why climate change has become a major challenge. When the old and the youths work together, they will educate each other and work towards a change in the way of dealing with the problem. Expanding the forest cover through planting trees Some of the different ways through which people will contribute to solutions on the issue of climate change are through planting trees. Forests are important in taking care of climate.
Climate change has resulted from the reduced forest cover in the world. People in different parts of the world have experienced more than the expected rainfall and this has resulted in flooding. On the other hand, some places have become dry and desert-like so that they can no longer support human activities such as farming. These different experiences have resulted from climate changes that have taken place in the world today. Participation in making some changes will have a positive impact on operations where an increase in forest cover will result to better ways of conserving the environment and taking care of nature (Verweij et al. This will also contribute to a solution in managing climate and providing a stable method of control. Droughts and famine have resulted from climate change and it is important to implement measures and strategies that will positively affect land and make it productive.
Waste management and reduced pollution will ensure that there is environmental protection. The management of every company in the industrial sector should ensure that it has the right methods and strategies for dealing with waste. This will act as a way of taking care of the environment as it will become possible to reduce the effects wastes and pollution have on the environment. Interpretation of statistical data Howden, S. Based on this article, agriculture has an important role that it plays in managing climate change if well planned. The authors state that the increased rate of climate change may have a negative impact on agriculture but farmers can utilize some strategies to do away with the problems. The article states that the use of adaptations will have a positive impact on the agricultural sector and will, in turn, contribute to conservation and reduction of climate change.
Substantial benefits will arise from the use of different strategies in farming which the different groups of farmers will adopt in their practices. The statistical data presented in the article is valid and reliable. The role of interactions in a world implementing adaptation and mitigation solutions to climate change. Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society of London A: Mathematical, Physical and Engineering Sciences, 369(1934), 217-241. Based on this article, the authors explain the role of interaction by different groups of people in the society while developing and implementing mitigation practices to climate change. The article also recognizes industrialization as a major cause of climate change in the society by stating that in the preindustrial period, temperatures were approximated as 4oC. The author uses secondary sources of data to explain the impact of climate change on different groups of people in the society.
Frantzeskaki, N. Pauleit, S. Naumann, S. Davis, M. Artmann, M. On the other hand, the people in the timber and charcoal business will claim that they want to make more money from their operations by cutting more trees. Implementing the solution will imply that some people will have to lose their businesses and this will negatively impact their families who depend on them for a living. However, it will become possible to have a protected environment that will give the generations to come to a better life. Despite the positive outcome, some people will end up losing their jobs through reduced activities such as logging and others will lose income due to reduced land for farming (Lorenzoni, Nicholson-Cole & Whitmarsh, 2007). These effects will lead to ethical dilemmas when deciding on the best way to handle the problem and to implement the right measures that will benefit more people in the society.
