Elizabeth Barclay published one of the most interesting articles of the year. According to the report, a year ago Hurricane Marie had destroyed some properties and killed some of the native citizens in Puerto Rico. Through Humanitarian help, the island received approximately $ 25 billion with the primary intention of renovating some of the destroyed apartments and compensating the families that were injured during the calamity. The author in the article explains that, before the attack, the island's infrastructure was established to be weak, but the government did not respond to evacuate the citizens who were staying in the deplorable places and therefore, this led to more casualties leading to more suffering. The article also explains four main ways how the Hurricane Maria has altered Puerto Rico, and this has led to some political unrest within the island especially between the native citizens of Puerto Rico and the federal government of United States of America.

Central Florida was flocked with the high number of refugees composed of children and women. Currently, the state has enrolled more 1200 children the public schools. The author speculates that the Orlando community has generated due to the high number of migration in the country. After the Hurricane Maria attack, Republicans and the Democrats have shown continuous efforts in winning the hearts of the devastated citizens of Puerto Rican. For example, according to GOP's President Trump, he stated in clarity that the death toll of 2977 in Puerto Rico was irrelevant; the Democrats' quickly hold a press conference to denounce the statement stipulated by the President. The national institute of Environment Health Science in Bethesda that is Mary land has proposed useful technology that can be used in cleaning dirty water, for example, the Carbon filters and Reverse Osmosis.

These two types of technology will help in stripping out numerous solvents in water that is dangerous to the lives of human beings. According to the article, Governor Rossello reiterates that, approximately, 95% of the island's water needs to be restored, though many citizens will not be able to access clean water for a week it will save the whole state in the long run. The article explains into detail the contribution of the female gender in building and renovating some of the houses that were destroyed by Hurricane. Haiti on the other hand is another state that had been hit by the Hurricane Mathew. Many properties were destroyed and a number of citizens died out of the process. According to the article, after the attack by the Hurricane Mathew, the locals did not sufficient clean water because the water pipes were swept away and the available dams were contaminated making water to unsafe in drinking and for other domestics purposes.
