in essence, assessing and evaluating a particular research design in terms of how it operates, how it influence and is influenced by the operational context is very crucial to making changes in order for the research to attain its aims ( Maxwell, 2013). the purpose of this research is to investigate on green practices by exploration and their impacts on event tourism in Cancun, which the areas that the research will focus on have been identified through the literature review gaps, it shows the issues and missing information related to green practices and application on event tourism. Besides interviews and observation as ways of data collection literature search and review as well as the internet was used as information backup to a primary data source that was then readily subjected to analysis, eventually results and findings.

The case of the research will be introduced by Ontology, Epistemology or methodology of the research. Epistemology, Ontology, and Methodology The entire research by the philosophical paradigm of critical realism, which gives explanatory tools and forms of reasoning and thinking that allows a more open arena for dialogue, discussion, learning and reflexivity (Price and Lotz-Siska,2015). Not only epistemology tries to pave the ideological ground so as to allow full expression of the scientists to interpret the ideologies but also to change the worlds. This is according to Price and Lotz-Sistka (2015). Therefore critical realism paradigm was employed in the entire research with the postulate that environmental sustainability and development is a positive achievement for the world and thus the community should support the research.

Regarding the research, Kjorstad and Solem (2017), explains that critical realism was used to provide guidelines for gaining insight understanding of both green practices and sustainability as well as evading reductionism and eclecticism. Ontology is concerned with the reality or rather truth of nature and it is subdivided into two aspects objectivism and subjectivism, which simply means a single and non-single reality (Saunders, 2009). This was achieved as per the aim of the research is to investigate green practices and explore their impacts on event tourism. Creswell (2007) states that when the need for a complex and detailed understanding of an issue, qualitative research should be carried out. This means that people have all the details required hence talking to them would enable the researcher to establish all the necessitated details about the matter going on their workplaces and paying attention to their stories.

Despite the fact that quantitative research is described as being realist or positivist, qualitative research is rather viewed as subjectivist because it relies on words in terms of opinions, images and observation analysis. Unlike quantitative research which deals with numerical data collected and analyzed using statistical methods which apply mathematical formulas (Mujis, 2004). Secondary data means stored information. In this research, secondary data such literature search and review and document analysis were used as a reference and back up to field collected data. The main reason was to ensure that the data collected via interviews were limited within the margins of the aim of the study hence helpful in achieving the objectives of the study. Methods of data collection and types of qualitative data research Collection Methods of data Illustration of types of data.

Specific examples of data. X- caret‘s regional wildlife breeding farm houses over twenty-four varying species of Mexican birds. According to TravelwithBender (2013), most of the birds' species are in the danger of extinction because of the deforestation has done in their habitats by people. This eco-archaeological park is also rich in beautiful scenery and captivating physical environments such as a coral reef aquarium, butterfly pavilion, natural pool where you can swim with dolphins, beaches, and underground rivers. Xel-Ha Park is a natural park with the variety of about hundred fishes. Data Analysis. In this section, data was analyzed using the epistemology position of realist which seeks to objective reliable data production and a wider representation of population drawn from interview samples (King and Horrocks, 2010). By using qualitative interviews, the actual reality of people's experience was reflected in the knowledge produced. The interviews that were conducted showed participants responses from a marketing perspective, environmental responsibility and sustainability of green practices as well as cost-effectiveness point of view. Furthermore, the methodology approach used was to bring balanced in between the natural setting and the social lifestyle of people in Cancun. The theme of green economy attempts to merge the need of the society for economic growth and development while significantly reducing environmental risks and ecological scarcities.

Therefore green economy is focused at improving human well-being and ensuring social equity. This theme explains the need for establishing and implementing underpinning strategy such as mainstreaming environmental policies or rather supportive economic structure to ensure that resource efficiency is achieved. In the case of the research, green economy theme provided answers the objectives of the study as it emphasizes on the essence of integrating economic and environmental policies in a manner that creates opportunities for new sources of economic growth while avoiding unsustainable pressure on the quality and quantity of natural assets. Green economy provides a vast knowledge of how to mainstream environmental sustainability into economic development hence addresses the objectives on the impacts of green practices on the environment and how it influences visitor behavior as well as how these practices are used in marketing.

Sustainable tourism is characterized by five main merits which include benefits local economic development, ensures tourism development benefits both community and environment, meets both profitability and viability, becomes part of the local culture, and reinvests in the local region. Therefore sustainable tourism is a concept with much concerns for available scarce local resources, culture, environment and the well-being of the local people is emphasized in a manner that benefits the tourists. Even though sustainable tourism is aimed at ensuring prolonged tourism conservation and profitability, it also enhances sustainable development and promotes marketing as it is perceived as a cost-effective way of making long-term returns while enjoying the comfort of a sustainable environment (Ritchie and Crouch,2003). Regarding the benefits aligned with this concept, the objectives of the research are answered in that sustainable tourism focusses on increasing positive environmental impacts and adoption of green practices while eliminating adverse impacts.

Ethical considerations The Aim and Objectives were used to describe the focus and clarity of the ethical and research. This Pilot case is feasible as the researcher will be traveling to Mexico, Cancun and interviewing the managers face to face. Also, as a first Spanish language speaker, the interviews will be easily translated into English. Any validity of qualitative research is usually gained at the expense of reliability in the discovery or data collection phase of the research (Kirk and Miller, 1986). In fact, qualitative research is frequently criticized for lacking scientific rigor with an inadequate justification of the methods utilized, lack of transparency in the analytical procedures and the results being merely a collection of personal opinions subject to researcher bias (Rolfe, 2006).

The Validity of this research will be achieved by the research methods analyzed, validation of sources on the literature review, green practices evidence that is documents requested upon interviews and responses from interviews such as point of views and knowledge. In this research critical realist paradigm dominate in the entire research as it combines the perspective of the general sciences together with that of social sciences with an aim of ensuring environmental sustainability on event tourism. Therefore through the successful application of this methodology in green practices the business value in Cancun increases in terms of marketability, as well as environmentally sustainable development, is achieved. Findings and Discussions. In this chapter, results of the interview were displayed, comparison of primary research collected with the secondary research identified within the literature review.

The findings of the research were highlighted in this section and discussions made on them. Riviera Mayan and the South region of Cancun became strategic interactions in places where people both locals and tourists would interact. Therefore Riviera Mayan among the Mayan pyramids in the south region of Cancun facilitated awareness of green practices to many and thus promoted marketing. The following thematic map shows images of the Experiencias X-caret eco-archaeological parks as well as Riviera Mayan. Table showing Experiencias X-caret location. Image (a) Image (b) The results from interviews show that even though green practices is of much benefit to the environment or rather the all world and social life of the community in Cancun, there is still information insufficiency and lack of knowledge concerning green practices.

Therefore, successful implementation of green practices in improves the visitors' behavior since the tourist will be enticed to pay regular visits to the location due to the ample and comfortable environment. However, there is a need for further research to be conducted to determine the actual costs and time for green practices in order to encourage more businesses to budget for the application of green practices, although it is perceived as cost-effective. Therefore sustainable tourism which transforms into increased returns in the tourism industry is attained through a balanced between environmental sustainability and economic development.
