He states that globalization was viewed as a tool that would help raise the standards of both the rich and poor. Collins (2015) further explains that globalization is complicated since it has its pros and cons. The first and main effect is that globalization has influenced the spread of American culture across the world. Denver (2018) notes that the American market has received more international opportunities to help American organizations sell their goods to a wider market. Real time communication between international organizations and nations has also improved. The author states that cheap labor markets have influenced an increase in production and supply of cheap products. This has influenced a decrease in opportunities for Americans since foreign workers seeking to fulfill their American dream are willing to work for less in extremely harsh conditions.
